How to cut oversized cakes
Tools you'll need: long knife (serrated if possible), paper towels, container of hot water, wax sheets for handling cake slices
When cutting, dip your knife in hot water and wipe with a paper towel. Place knife point into the cake and slide the rest of the knife down until you hit the base. Remove cake slice and wrap in wax sheet. For best results, repeat this for each slice.
Serving sizes are based on slices 3.5-4" tall, 3.5" across, and .5" wide.
Our tortes need to be kept refrigerated but should be served at room temperature (Carrot Cake should be kept in the refrigerator until serving). Let the cake sit out at room temperature for around 2 hours for 6" & 9" cakes and 3-4 hours for 11"-18" single tier or multiple tier cakes.
